      Confused?

      Hi there!

I never thought I could get any faster where I live than 8MB but I then got a letter from Sky offering me 16Mb

I have checked and they are LLU enabled. I have now done a router test (Linksys WAG54GS)

      Attn(dB): 19.0 (down) 11.0(Up)
      SNR(dB): 17.2 (down) 13.0(Up)
      PWR(dB): 19.7 11.8

Just wondering if you think this line should cope with 16MB and if there is anything I can do to improve it's quailty?

More details can be given it's just that they are in cmd and I don't know how to copy from cmd

      Hi

      ADSL2+ Speed Test
We estimate your line is capable of between 16mb to 24mb broadband on an ADSL2+ service.

      As a rough guide.

Just been hunting round and it looks like this was done VERY recently on my exchange... didn't expect to be able to get above 8MB (well 700KB/s really) untill 2009

Will be requesting a MAC code from BT later today!

Just remember you weren't offered 16 meg you would have been offered UP TO 16 meg! * if your line can handle it*

      Re: Confused?

      Hi there!

I Understand it's UP TO 16MB and espically at peak times the internet is going to be slower but seeing as I live:

You are around 460 metres from your exchange (as the crow flies).

I should get around 12-14Mb surely?

Just wondering if my upload would increase if, all-beit, slightly? With four PC's on the router and two gaming, one always streaming music and another used for downloading EVERYTHING for the others (download on one computer share it to the rest ) it does tend to get a bit slow on the line...

Got me my MAC code so might phone up SKY sooner rather than later!
