      Re: Landline Disconnection

I would assume at the same time as your landline is disconnected.
Do you mean you have cancelled the broadband, and are being cut off by BT for non payment.
You would still be liable for your Sky bbmax payments till the end of your contract period.

PS Just read your other thread, I hope you manage to sort things out.

      Re: Landline Disconnection

      Thanks for the reply.

Well, I went to BT & asked them to cancel the service because I couldn't afford the bill. I called sky & they were not very understanding. I did offer to pay the 110 remaining on my contract, just not upfront, it would have to be installments but they refused, they also refused to cut me off.

So I guess i'll be here til it stops working? The landline was disconnected at 3pm but i can still connect.

      Re: Landline Disconnection

Ring sky, tell tech support the BB has stopped working (once it has). They'll have to escalate to tier 3 for a cease and reprovide which they won't be able to do because the line won't be active; most likely, they'll make 3 callback attempts a few weeks later when the cease is complete then close the ticket and add a note to the effect of "reprovide can now be done" on the account. The BB will not be charged from when tier 3 request the cease.

I think that should work anyway...
