      need help please

i have the router plugged straight into the test socket but for the past few days the downstream speed has been between the 2300-2400kbps mark it runs at full speed for about 6 hours then the noise margin drops from around the 7-8 mark to less than 1 then its disconnects itself with the messsage server not found when you try to connect to the internet. so i power down the router then power it back up then it connects to the internet after a few minutes but the downstream speed has dropped to the 500-550kbps mark. can someone please tell me why this is happening?

Looks like a possible line fault.

Take a look at the cabling and faceplate help forum for info on diagnosing and fixing line issues. Once you've done everything possible at your end, then report it to Sky.
