Re: Changing from connect to max

      Hi Waring192
I initiated my change online and the router arrived in a few days. The activation date was about 10 days from that point.
The router turned up within 5 working days, but you are unable to actually perform the full install and test until the date on the letter (I tried 8pm the night before...no connection...tried 8am on the day of activation letter and no probs).
Installation is actually very nice. Good animations. Simple steps.

My recommendation is that you have your microfilter in at master BT socket. I had an extension lead and only had 1.6Mbs connection. Going into the master offered me exchange negotiation of 4.7Mbs and a running download speed of around 3.8Mbs. So in fairness to my previous ISP I cannot tell whether my connection is faster, but I am certainly delighted with Sky.

The equipment is good quality, and I have been straight in without problems. My brother and father are now moving following my hearty recommendation.

      Best of luck.

      Marcus

Have you been advised that you are being moved over? If not this seems to take anything from 3 weeks to several months after your exchange is enabled. There are a few rerferences in This thread

You will seen an improvement in your speed, the amount depends on the condition of your line. If you have a decent line, your speed should almost double.
