Is there more speed to come?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Sky will be doing more work in the exchanges where the LLU is already done in the next 6 months. Is that right & if so will it increase the line speeds ?

line speeds are limited to a max of 16mb depending on your package. speeds will not be changing unless they change their packages which is unlikely as people are locked into the current ones for 12 months

They could always add new packages for an increased price, a 20mb package would be nice to see.

So there's no way we'll see improved speeds in the near future - we're stuck with what our lines will support now ?

that has always been the case and will be always be the case. evryones lines are different and will support a maximum speed depending on the connection type. For example, i have upto 16mb for sky but in practice my line supports about 4mb - if they bring out the a 24mb packace and i go onto it i will still only get 4mb

although your still get 4mb on a 24mb line with that you would get a 1.5mb upload as well which would still attract a lot of people.

I guess once SkyBB have established itself then we will see new packages with faster speeds etc, but lets let them take it one step at a time.

One thing I will say is if they follow a similar route with SkyBB that they do with Sky TV they sure wont be standing still.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
