Stats seem ok but download spead is bad

Right guys, looking for some help. Im on BB connect which is due to be changed over to max on the 14th of august. Been having problems with conection etc for a while now but its stopped dropping out. Router is conected to master socket and i have removed the rightwire etc etc. Stats are the same as test socket. Im getting a conection speed of around 5000k withour drops and my ip profile is set at 4000k but my actual download is speed is about 600K (data from BT speedtest), ive done the test about 5 times over last 24 hours and downloaded large files which stick aroung 60-70kb/s. Im using wireless but its got very good signal speed etc and iv tried diffrent channels etc. My results are below:

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
IP profile for your line is - 4000 kbps
      DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 5024 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 524 kbps

If you wish to discuss these results please contact your ISP.

If you are experiencing problems with specific applications, servers or websites please contact your ISP for assistance.

Your test has completed please close this window to exit the performance tester.

Have you tried connecting to the router via wire? For me wireless seems to be no slower than wired but apparently users have found there to be vast differences. I would advise trying wired (if you haven't already) it might help throw some light as to where your problem is.

Thats good to hear, it may be worth having a play with TCP Optimizer as well see if you can improve on that figure.

Re: Stats seem ok but download spead is bad

I don't believe moving to max will have any effect on speed (however I think upload speed should see a slight increase).

Sky router stats (speed, noise, attenuation) explained

This tutorial suggests that the max for your line would be around the 4.5mb range.

The easiest way to tell from your stats is from your upload speed, it will rise from 448 to something over 700. I think you will see an improvement in speed, for one thing, LLU is not throttled, Connect is.
