    Pings shot down, speed aswell!

    This is a discussion on Pings shot down, speed aswell! within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; For some reason my pings at speedtest.net have gone from 500 (yes 500!)ms, to just under 100ms - still high ...

      Pings shot down, speed aswell!

      For some reason my pings at speedtest.net have gone from 500 (yes 500!)ms, to just under 100ms - still high to gamers I guess.

      But my speed has gone down too ... I'm down from near 7000kbps to just above 5000kbps ... not sure if this is overall good or bad news

      Blimey, an update.

      Pings up, Speed up ... above 500ms again, speed above 7000kbps again ... the silly world of Sky I guess.

      I don't really think it has much to do with Sky, Speedtest.net is not known for giving very accurate ping results. Pinging a popular site will give more truer results.
