      Strange Problem

I was installed on Saturday 9 and my stats are
      SNR DL 11.6
      Att DL 33
      Sync DL 15373
      Snc UL 766

When I first booted up the router I was getting download speeds of 800 - 1000kbs slower than advertised but not to bad. However, if I leave my router switched on the speed gradually reduces over a number of hours until it is unuseable! I don't have any disconnections or dropouts it just seems that the service slowly gets worse. Rebooting the router clears the problem and speeds are back up but again gradually reduce. I have a desktop and laptop connected to the router and both have excatly the problem.

      Any ideas?

Welcome to the site No Strings

I wish I could give you an answer my connection has been up for 24 hours now and I can still get 1.35MB/s my stats are as follows

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 15323 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 25.0 db 13.7 db
Noise Margin 10.2 db 13.0 db

One thing you could try is to test the router in the test scoket behind the master socket Read Here

My router is connected straight into the master socket via a filtered faceplate. It's frustrating because when it works the service is excellent!!
Have you made any adjustments to your RWIN or MTU settings, or made any changes to the router settings? All i did was change the wireless settings and that was it.

Sounds to me like you either:

      (1) have a faulty router. What is happening is that you are syncing too high so your router is lowering the sync rate - problem is it is not giving you your speed to match the rate.
      (2) you have a faulty line

In either case you need to give sky tech support a ring and see igf they can help
