Question Re: Restricted Access to Web Sites

      Thanks for the suggestions.

I have run Trojan Hunter which show all clear.

I am only using Kaspersky anti-virus, I use Zone Alarm for my firewall.

I cannot open google earth or Kaspersky activation server inside a browser as they open independently from the browser. The only thing I get from google earth is a list of files as an error report inside firefox (but it means nothing to me!).

This only started when I changed to Sky. Is there anything in the set up that might be causing the problem?

Re: Restricted Access to Web Sites

I've been having exactly the same issue for the last couple of weeks, but it's strange as I've been using the service without any issues since November last year.
I don't recall doing anything that could have affected this change, but it's annoying simply as I can't access the the itunes store!

I'm almost certain it's an issue with the router-any ideas anyone?

My first thoughts was a router problem, but where to start?. Have you altered the firewall or any other settings for the router?

I doubt it is a router problem, but you can check this easily by resetting the router. Push pin in little hole etc.

One other thing which may be happening is these programs are still trying to use the old modem to connect, which obviously will not work. If you remove all traces of the old modem from your PC, Add/Remove programs and Device Manager in Safe Mode. It may be necessary to reinstall the programs to make sure they are using the correct connection. This applies to Dave123's problem.

I am not sure about iTunes, but I doubt if it is the router at fault. In most cases when something does not work, a complete removal and reinstall often cures the problem.
