      Sky transfer from Eclipse

      I am considering changing from my 2mb product with Eclipse ( 29.99 pm ) to Sky Broadband but am somewhat confused as to which product to take. I love the idea of having a 16mb line and the saving of 20.00 pm, however, three questions still niggle me;

      1. How do I tell whether I will get over 8mb on my line to make the 16mb product worthwhile?

      2. Is there an indication of the bandwidth limit in the FUP, i.e. what Sky class as fair?

      3. Is there traffic shaping taking place?

      If anyone can help, please do...

      Thanks.

      Welcome to the site Sarek12000

      If you already use a router get your Downstream Attenuation figure and enter it in here DSL Zone it will give you a rough idea

      As for the FUP your guess is as good as anyone else's at the moment

      No traffic shaping taking place at the moment that has been reported anyway

      Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      Thanks for the swift reply. I will try the site out and hope. One question though, on DSL Zone UK, it states my exchange, LOUGHTON, can get ADSL up to 5 Mbps or above. Should I ignore this as ADSL2+.

      Yep I have just had a look on samknows and you are Easynet enabled so you should be ok for up to 16MB
