ping with Nildram was around 70ms but every so often would shoot up into the 200 bracket!
So all in all Sky seems better, plus they have up to date news ,weather etc video on the portal lol (forgot to mention that before)
Before anyone starts to have a pop at me about being a luck B&$*"$D give sky some time I say, they are a massive company and when they get it sorted it will be a great service and will put the willies up those other broadband sharks that have been charging us a fortune for so many years. This can only be a good thing for the broadband user in the long run as all the prices will have to come down to a reasonable ammount.

I'm online and happy here. Router arrived this AM and I too have been online for most of this evening. I spent the day outside, I'm not that much of a geek :-)
Speed seems fine, I am around 800m from the exchange. Router reports down is 12498kbps Att. 19.5 Noise 6.6 while up is 766kbps Att. 9.4 Noise 13.0
Previous connection was 10MB from blueyonder, Costs £35pm, but is around 2MB faster on the download according to speedtest.net.
I've been downloading from Sourceforge, University of Kent mirror just. An 18.8Mb file took 27 seconds on Sky and 22 on Blueyonder.
Upload on sky is great, I've been on the work VPN tonight doing some server maintenance and it is noticeably quicker. Speed test reports that pretty consistently at 766.
I'm going to try and connect to the master socket tomorrow see if that makes any difference to the download speeds.

Update
Been on Sky since Saturday morning, No problems at all so far. Speed is between 7 and 9 mb download (will probably stabilize after a week I've been told). No dropouts, ping is at 70ms
So far so good, I'm well happy
