Sky Router not arrived...how long should it take?

Hi all, not sure if i'm posting in the right place, apologies if not, and maybe a silly question!, I signed up to Sky BB (Max) 2 weeks ago, but my router has still not arrived yet, should I get in touch with them or is 2 weeks the norm?, but it could do with the postal strike (if the router comes via Royal mail that is)......just concerned a little as my Virgin media will be turned off in 2 weeks also and need the internet for my business........

      Thanks in advance

      Dave

had ur activaton date passed yet? if not, then not to worry....if it has get on to customer services and ask them where it is

EDIT: And sky is a consumer based service so you'll get no sympathy using it for business - thats what a business account is for!!

Re: Sky Router not arrived...how long should it take?

Thanks for the reply, I have recieved no correspondence from Sky at the moment regarding BB, no activation date etc..... Just a little concerned as I have read that some people had recieved their routers within a couple of days of signing up. Maybe I shouldn't have cancelled my VM service 'till everything had arrived. I understand about the Business, it was a little misleading on my behalf, its not a business just me personally selling a few T-Shirts...sorry to be misleading.

id defo call sales and make sure its going through then cause yes (in theory) you should get it before activation - unless ur on Connect then it can be after....

      Hi,
I am in same boat 2 weeks passed no router so I phoned them today and the tech guy said because I am going on Connect your line needs to be active first before they send it out.. well sad at this answer as I have paid 40 for connect which was taken out instantly from bank account so you would think I get it sooner..

Oh well me wait for the knock from mister posty...

You could check the BT order Status and see if the order has gone through?

You will have to register though on their website.

Re: Sky Router not arrived...how long should it take?

Thanks NewsreadeR, I've just called Sky and they now tell me my order has been cancelled, because 'the product is not available' . The woman i spoke to says some sort of Tech problem at the exchange (Fazeley, Tamworth). I have to call back in 5 days to see wether the problem has been solved and re-order again.

2 weeks left before i'm disconnected on VM...looks if i'll be without internet for a while.....

      not a good start eh....

Damm - bad news, I had the same issues tbh in January. Any chance you can uncancel your VM in case it goes pear shaped and still keep your access?

Re: Sky Router not arrived...how long should it take?

I ordered the mid package last Saturday(28th July). Router arrived on Tuesday(31st July). It came by Parcelforce which i believe is the normal courier. Not had a letter with an activation date yet though.

Regarding the BT checker, i tried that but it says it can't give details on broadband orders.
