Smile I think Sky BB is great in spite of the problems

I have been with online with SKY BB since Saturday and I think it's pretty good . I still have a few problems like LOW SNR and the SYNC speed is not quite as high as I was expecting, but these problems are probably down to the BT Cable coming to my house hopefully I can get this sorted by SKY.
All in all for the price of 10.00 I dont think I have much to complain about. I'm sure the faults were on the line before Sky took over, but they wouldn't show on the old 1Meg PIPEX.

I think a lot of complaints on this site are because SKY have been overwhelmed by the response, and because they are too far from the exchange.

This site is full of people moaning about SKY and it will never be any different. People who have no problems wont even look at this site . Lets hope we can turn it into a HELP site and not a MOANING site

Despite the fact I was meant to be connected yesterday and am not on yet (no real inconvenience), everything has been spot on for me. Nice people whenever i've rang them, never waited more than a minute to get through, got a tenner for my router being late despite it not being actually late at all (came before my activation was due) etc etc.

All that and i'll be on a faster connection than before and for less. I'm happy tbh.

i'd agree that if it all works well it is very good value for money.

incidentally (bucketheadbob) you are connected to your local exchange, that is what determines the speed of service etc, not how far sky is away.

      Smile 11 Meg woopee

      Dingdong
I'm not sure what you are saying!!. I know that i am connected to my local exchange, and I know that Iam only a short distance away( just over 1Km)

The problem must be bad cable between me and the exchange.
I have no idea how far away SKY is(what do you mean)

My speed has increased tonight to 11Meg !!! woopee lets hope it say this fast

      What a great post!

People moaning is the norm when people have problems, human nature i am afraid. People who moan will always outweigh people who praise, we want to rewrite the statistics.

I have said it before and i will say again. We are an unofficial support site, to help Sky broadband users, whilst we welcome the bad points, these need to be constructive as well, so as to help Sky sort them out.

We know Sky are taking notice of this site, they spend hours on here, and unofficially we are getting feedback. If Sky can see where they are going wrong, I am 200% sure that they will do their level best to help and sort out.

What we would like to achieve is the Sky staff actively posting here.

We have emailed Easynet and Sky, to invite them here, however i feel that they may be a bit weary of been shouted and screamed at by the minority.

What i would like to say to Sky is,

This will never be allowed and the Moderators on here are aware that any post which is unacceptable, a direct insult, or a personal attack on another member will not be tolerated.

Please come aboard, and give us some feedback from your side

I read they as being sky - you obviously meant they as the folks who are complaining. Case of bad sentence construction

So true, my grandmother is taking up sky broadband and she told me that she had a phone call from sky apologising for a delay in switching her as her current internet has been terminated for the switch over. But at least they rang her more i can say than ever isp has ever done for me!

      Sentence Construction!!!

      Dingdong

I think that we should all start writing with correct sentence construction and be totally correct with our grammar but maybe you should use a spell checker!!.

I think there should be new type of thread, no more text talk intelligent conversation and no slagging just polite conversation .

It wont work I dont think
