Nice idea but since they don't have a online status checker I doubt it will happen

they should know there's a problem with the amount of calls they recieve from an area, could they not even put it out on teletext or use the services button on the remote just to say internet problem in eg. london area 01/08/07

dont be too sure about that. Big Andrew Bailey is petitioning for a Status page to be put on one of the Sky Info channels, because they both tell the exact same information.

not too sure what the channels are, btu there are 2 of them, and they repeat the same information. the idea is to have a fully visual status page, showing exactly where the major outages are.

It wont be able to tell you some of the outages, but if an outage affects teh whole exchange, the plan is to get it on the channel

dont know if it will happen though

Would there be anything on the Easynet pages. But I agree a status page is a must really and it is surprising that Sky do not have one.

This would be a good idea for major outages only, but there is also alot of outages that you will need to know you card and port numbers for. So for these outages it wouldn't be so good, it just might confuse ppl.

No good looking at Sky's either if they ever get around to creating such a service. The point is if your connection is down at home and you are at work or at a library or something you could then check up to see what is happening or even when you connection is back you can check up on what the problem was.

what i mean is 1. everyone who has skybroadband must have sky tv
      2. if sky can put adverts on sky active then they could put problems with their broadband on active as well.
      3. that means you will know if the problem is yours or skys without having to ring an 0870 number which even with sky talk you are paying for.
or does that help with sky profits or am i being naive
