      dead sky router?

      Evening all,

Last night my connection died, switched it off overnight, still no connection this morning.

Spent the day out of the home office, came back and still no connection.

No lights on my sky router apart from the number of the cable connected to the PC, and no DHCP served up from the router.

Connected my old Netgear router up and all is working.

So any tips on convincing sky to replace the router without going through a painful troubleshooting process??

      Cheers,

      Greg

Smoke and smells of burning, that should get them moving.

Well I was dreading the worst, made myself a cup of tea and dialled, it only took 10minutes in total to agree they would send a new one out. All very pleasant and courteous people!

I was going to ebay my old router, I think I'll keep it for backup!

      regards,

      Greg
