      Local loop unbundling.

I have just been checking exchanges in my area using sam knows ,a few of the bigger towns have been unbundled, the nearest is is approx 20 miles away.
Once they move into a area do they go round the bigger towns or is it hit and miss?
Checking my number in the Sky BB checker gives me the usual connect for 17 blurb.

Does anyone know how they decide which exchanges to unbundled as the population in my town is the same as others that have already been unbundled?

Nope haven't a clue! I even rang easynet last year because I wanted to get on Sky but they couldn't tell me. Then all of a sudden 2 weeks later my exchange went live! But my mate who lives 3 miles away on a different exchange is still waiting.

Might give you hope. Didnt think anyone was going to unbundle my exchange even tho it serves several thousand lines. Lo and behold within about 3 months of each other Bulldog and CPW have done it. Not the best of choices but hey its a start.

You can get Samknows to email you when they receive info that your exchange has been unbundled. Need to tick a box somewhere on the site.
