      Thanks for assistance

      Hi guys
Had Sky BB for a few months now and had lots of the usual problems, however stumbled across this site and got to say it has saved me from canceling.
Turned off Upnp and checked and fixed my extension wiring as you suggest in the tutorials and bingo stable and faster connection.
I would be interested if you would check the stats as below and advise if asking tier 3 to place me onto ADSL+ is worthwhile.
Keep up the good work and thanks again

      Re: Thanks for assistance

No stay on g.dmt, with your attenuation you have no chance of getting the speeds that adsl2+ offers over g.dmt.

if you try the adsl2+ checker: http://www.skyuser.co.uk/tools/Adsl2Checker.php , you will see the max you could get is up to 6Mb and you are already pretty close to that.

ADSL2+ is only worth it if you can get more than 8Mb, as g.dmt works better at under 8Mb.

      Re: Thanks for assistance

Ok thanks for advice, I think I may well be getting the best out of my connection taking into account my distance from exchange.
