      Lowering noise margin

After having some problems with my sky max (see my other post) I used the mognuts utility to raise my noise margin to 10db, which has obviously dropped my sync speed, but stabalised my connection.

However, after removing the ring wire from my connections, my noise margin no longer drops much at night (its set at aroung 11db and i have never seen itgo lower than 10.7)

I was thinking, should i reset it at 8 and get a higher sync speed, or if I leave it will it do that itself after 3 days???

      Re: Lowering noise margin

reset it back to 8 and monitor the connection. if the margin stays stable you should be fine, assuming of course no errors.
