      Angry (Another) Slow Connection

      Hi

In February this year we changed our isp from BT to Sky, mainly due to the prices. We got the max package and everything was fine, we were getting 15.9mbps at first, then the router packed in. After an hour on the phone telling them that the router was not working, they said they would send a new router, they did and in itself it works fine, but we are getting downstream and upstream speeds of 128 kbps.

I have spoken to sky, who put me through the usual "turn it off and back on again" thing and said they would ring us back, which they haven't.

Any advice and one can give would be really appreciated.

It's been capped and needs configuration changing in the exchange.
Tier 3 will need to fix this.

have u had a previous fault? 128KB is the test speed we set the line to to get sync - call tier 1 and say u had a prevous fault and you're on test speed. they'll get it up to tier 3 to remove the cap
