Re: Help my connection is dying even more

Those stats are bad, very very bad! (and you have only been up for 3 minutes odd!)

Your only just sync'd over 1MB so you got no chance of getting 2MB!!!

Have you tried connecting your router directly into the test socket?

Re: Help my connection is dying even more

All I can recommend is to remove the filtered face plate and plug a microfilter directly into the BT master test socket!

If that does not help then all you can do is keep complaining to sky until they send a BT engineer out but be warned, if anything your end is causing the problem expect a big bill from BT for the call out! (and BT will be unable to fix anything, they will simply recommend capping you at a lower speed due to a poor line or worse still mark your line as being unsuitable for BB due to line length or noise!)

Don't know how you got 2MB previously cause your attenuation indicates your line can only handle a recommended 1MB max! if your lucky and you have a noise free line you may get 1.5MB!!

Being realistic looking at those errors you will be luck to get 512k?

yes i have tested the master socket with a filter but i was on 2 meg until now never had to look at my stats and i was suprised as you i have had tier 3
to cap me at 1 meg and it runs fine without as many errors but i cant see how it was working with 2 meg sky broadband and then big dropout down to 854kbs now 1184kbs really strange ad to the socket i have looked at and i only have A-B connection wires and then faceplate in to test socket this is really confusing as if its happened overnight the amount of errors is surely due to the fact something has changed and i dont know what maybe it overcrowding on exchange or port faults it does affect us somehow or maybe weather i mean looking for a explaination more than a fix.

those stats are after 3 minutes though so no where near an accurate test....have you tried the test socket yet?

and regardless of what you got with ur previous provider, you can't compare one service to another (although in theory you should be able to)
