Sky Shop

I've just got my MAC code so I'm getting ready to switch to Sky Max online ... onething concerned me, once I'd entered my MAC code, I go to a page to select the package and it said that I could expect speeds between 6.5MB and 8MB.

Surely this is ADSL only, not ADSL2, which I'd get on Max? My Downstream Line Attenuation is 30.

Re: Sky Shop

On MAX, they will give you the best connection your line can take, so if it predicts 6-8mb, that is their prediction.

On the BT one, mine said 2.5 - 3.5mb and I get 7mb. Best to see what happens.

Re: Sky Shop

Interesting ... its odd 6.5mbps is what I get on regular ADSL, I'd figure it would be more on ADSL2+ ... and with attenuation at 30, I figured it get ADSL2+.

Time will tell I guess.
