well ditto on this cant download nothing from rapidshare found this somewhere
this is from rapidshare site
Our system checks your IP-address in order to count the downloads. If you are getting this message and you really did not download anything, then you are using a proxy-server, which is used by other people as well. Even if you have no proxy-server set up in your configuration, there are many providers who force a transparent proxy-servers between you and the net. If you do not believe us, go to other pages telling you your IP-address (for example http://www.myipaddress.com.) But what can you do? You have to disable this proxy-server. If you are not able to disable the proxy-server, the only solution IS a Premium-account. Premium-users are recognized by cookies, not by IP-address. Unfortunately we cannot disable our IP-check, else people would download so much that we would have to close down this service completely. I hope you understand our situation in this matter.

this is the same problem as users not being allowed onto some websites i think. becuase skys ip range is new they are deciding anyone using it must be doing so via a proxy.
if you go to here for example http://www.hostip.info/ it cannot decide who you are or where you are from - some sites don't like it.

so do people think that rapidshare will become available to skybroadband or not? as it does give the error "You requested this download-session from a different IP than yours. If you use AOL, try a different browser"

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
If you would like to know the straight line distance to your exchange then
Would you like an idea of the possible speeds you will get with the Max Package then click here or for the Connect Package then click here

Fingers crossed that they will add the sky ip range to there accepted ones, so that it doesnt think your using a proxy, unfortunatly this may take time so wont be able to use it. unless you pay them..convienient
