    Novice needs help!!!

      Question Novice needs help!!!

      Guys,
      I am all new to the Sky Broadband revolution after having my installation done this weekend. Need some help regarding probelms accessing some websites. I am having difficuly getting on to Hotmail, Ebay etc to name but a few. I also play WoW online which will now not connect. MSN messenger also now not working.
      Any help with accessing the websites, MSN Messaenger or WoW would be very appreciated.

      can you name a few other sites that are not working or is it just them?

      Does the Microsoft site work? Sounds like your having the same problem as me and Legendary are having

      Not to sure what exchange I am on.

      I live in Pelsall, Walsall if that helps.

      same with me and Legendary . You are most likely connected to the Pelsall exchange like me and Legendary. Sky support are ment to be getting back to me today or tomorrow so I'll have to mention that you and Legendary are both having the same problem as me and we are all connected to the same exchange.

      It's got to be a fault with the exchange. Unfortunatly all we can do is just call Sky and say that there is a fault with the exchange (they said it would be fixed by the weekend but here we are Monday and still no change )

      Thanks for the info.

      I'll do my bit and call them as well. Hopefully the more people that ring up to complain might get them moving a bit quicker.

      thats the idea

      I'll try again later this afternoon. I have a open ticket with Tier 3 support (their highest support) so I hope I can get in touch with them

      Ok I've just got off the phone to Sky and unfortunatly I couldn't get to Tier 3 (waiting times were ridiculous). Luckily the person from Tier 1 managed to tell me that Sky are performing an upgrade to the Pelsall exchage. He also told me that customers may experience a loss of service while this is happening (makes sense). Unfortunatly he couldn't give me a date\time when this would be complete but he did say that Tier 3 may know further. So he advised me to call about 9pm-10pm when the queue times for Tier 3 are shorter (which is what I will do ).

      Cheers and thanks for the info. What puzzles me is how I can still connect to certain websites but not others whilst they are upgrading the exchange. I would have thought that loss of service would affect everything and not individual sites?
