      thats the thing that puzzles me as well. I.e. this site works great, so does bbc.co.uk and google.co.uk but pretty much everything else refuses to load. You would think that if they were upgrading the exchage all websites wouldn't work (no connection). And also I have 2 relatives who just live down the road their internet (one is with BT Total Broadband the other is with Pipex) is working well with no problems. If the exchage is being upgraded you would think it would effect all services not just Sky's.

      Anyway I'm going to try Sky's CS again tonight and *fingers crossed* I can get through to Tier 3

      Yup it is annoying problem to have in Pelsall. It is frustrating for me due to my mom is moaning at me too much and I couldn't play on xbox live or check my lottery number at national-lottery.co.uk on my network.

      OK, I have called them. Got the usual pull this out, plug this in, reset this, reset that. Evnetually the guy said he'd patch me into someone in tier3. Then got cut off!!! Called again and they tried to put me through to tier3 again but apparantly too busy. So I have ticket as well now and will be calling again later.

      Hmm interesting. On my first attempt at calling (On Thursday) I got cut off when they tried to pass me onto T3 .

      I think (unfortunatly) we're going to have to be persistant and patient if we're going to get anywhere. I think it's just a case of trying to get to T3 and being patient if we can't . Good Luck fellas

      I hope in the end we will get better connection and more reliability once they fix the software/hardware issue.

      I wish I knew what is causing the problem.

      Well I'm hoping so.

      When I first called the lady on the end of the phone was suprised to hear that I was only getting 5.5MB (which I've been happy with). She said I should be getting 12.5MB so I'm hoping that will be fixed as well

      Well i've just got off the phone to a very helpful Tier 1 lady

      She said that yes the Pelsall exchange is being updated basically to improve it. She said that your service will be affected but your internet should work but not fully (i.e. only some websites work)

      She said that the work should be done by the 18th July. Brilliant!!!

      And she even offered to get Tier 3 to also look into the reason why I'm getting 5.5MB where I should be getting 12.5MB. Fantastic!!!!!!!!

      I didn't end up going into Tier 3 as there was no point! I would have had to wait 20-30 minutes but I'd been told everthing I needed to know so I though not to.

      But hey...lets hope that all is sorted on the 18th!

      Well it's the 18th @ 4pm and still no difference . I'll give them til tommorow morning, if not I'll try calling them to see whats what

      Still no difference here either. Will try getting to t3 tonight. Only had SKy installed on Saturday and so far my experience has been awful. Hopefully everything will be sorted out by this time tomorrow otherwise I may go elsewhere. Don't like paying for something I can't use or doesn't fully work.

      i have to admit that you've been quite unlucky with signing up to Sky and having this problem straight away. Except for this problem my Sky connection in Pelsall has been great.

      BTW Good luck getting to T3! (You'll be the first one to make it )
