Yes. Also made a backup of the router (.cfg file), would this be ok to use or do I need the cd?

This is what you need to do:

Download and unzip to your desktop: http://public.myprivateserver.co.uk/...ry_Utility.zip

Now you need to do this on an XP machine!!!

Setp 1. is to switch your router into flash mode, you do this by switching it off then press the reset button on the back of the router and while pressing it plug it back in!

Once it powers on release the reset button and you will see the power led and tick led flash alternativley......

Now go into the unziped folder located on your desktop and double click on RmDrv.exe and press a key when instructed to do so!

Now click on UpgradeWizard.exe and basically keep clicking on next until it completes the upgrade progress!

      Job Done!!!

Re: Resetting the router - is the router broke?

Cheers for your help. Will keep a note of that procedure for the future

Turns out, for some reason my PC did not know the NIC card was installed (although it has never been removed since installing). It wasn't showing up in device drivers (which puzzled me). So, I removed the NIC, re-booted, then reinstalled and all is fine now.

Thanks very much for your time and effort, much appreciated.
