      Provide LLU & Cease IPStream

      Hi all,

Just looking at the BT Order checker and My "PROVIDE LLU LINE SHARE PSTN" is due the 13th and my "CEASE BT IPSTREAM" is for the 18th. How does this work? Does this mean I will be able to connect to both Sky & my fomer ISP (Demon) for a few days? Or will Demon become unavailable as soon as the LLU line is activated?

Apologies if I got some of the terminlology wrong

      Cheers all,
      Mick

In my case, once the local loop had been unbundled (LLU), my old ISP (a BT IPStream reseller) was no longer available.

you should only be disconnected for about an hour why the change over takes effect, also the overlap is just in case there are any delays.

Sky told me today that activation can take place at any time up until midnight, is this the case or are most done during daytime hours?

I wanted to simply type 'Thanks.' but my message has to be 10 characters at least (crazy rule!).

      Now I can say thanks.

      Welcome to the site Mick

By default BT leave 3 working days between connection to LLU and cease of BT IPSTREAM just encase there are any problems and they need to put you back or at least thats what SkyBB told me when I queried them about it.

      Good luck
      Ray

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
