Re: Need Help, broandband is down big time

Well you are showing some errors even at 512kb which I guess points to a bad line and likely to be alot worse at faster speeds. Also your router needs rebooting as it is showing incorrect attenuation 15.5db indicates you are practically next door to the exchange, yet another bug! One other thing you could do would be to get BT to check out the line report it as noisey voice calls dont mention Sky broadband otherwise they wont want to know, see if they can improve things at all.

Re: Need Help, broandband is down big time

this is another stats running straight from the test socket

However, i am still experiencing some probs.. sometimes, although the router status says its connected, but i am not obtaining any ip, hence i cannot get on the net..

Is it really a problem with sky? or a prob with my BT line?

      thanks

Re: Need Help, broandband is down big time

      so.... what is the problem??

      little updated.

I was ensure a steady line at 512k and now i still have intermitent connection problems, sometimes it is not registering an IP getting error 300....

So.. i guess where i move next time will have to depend on where the exchange is

      Thanks

Re: Need Help, broandband is down big time

      another update on my case.

after 3 milions attemps to get thru to Tier 3, at last I spoke to somebody.

After tyring this and that , basically the Tier 3 staff has given up and said looking at my distance from the exhange, sky should have never taken me on as they cannot gurantee any quality for my b/band service no matter what speeed.. No idea why today I am down at 128k and yesterday I was still at 512k whatever the case, he said he was happy to write something so I can get out from my contract now if it needs to be..

But, what he said also, was that due to the distance and the quality of my line, I will not be able to get any decent b/band from any other company who uses BT line, unless I can get BT to upgrade / change my line over the 6 miles distance from the exchange (which I do not think they will

Anyone got any thoughts or advise?

      below is my latest stats

Re: Need Help, broandband is down big time

I suppose if you got BT broadband then they more likely to try to improve there line to make it work better, where's there not going to spend money on the line to make Sky broadband work.
