      SkyRouter Test Returning Error 300

      Hi Guys,

      I am currently trying to get the mrs broadband setup. I have plugged the router into the BT master socket as to remove any issues with substandard cabling.

      So anyway, i plugged it in and run the sky test and it returns an error of 300.

      Here are the line stats...

      Connection Speed
      Up: 288kbps
      Down: 2272 kbps

      Line Attenuation
      Up: 27 db
      Down: 27 db

      Noise Margin
      Up: 27.0 db
      Down: 27.6 db

      Is that noise ratio too high?

      Should the line be training when on LLU?

      it'll be a tie pair issue, you have an i light but i bet when u call up they'll tell you ur currently not showing up at our end - have you just migrated? may be still going thorugh migration but might be worth raising the issue now as it could be a biggie

      lol! Well tier 1 made me look like a right tool. They said can you plug your phone back in so we can crry out a test and check that you get a dial tone. LOL! There was no dial tone. Its the most simplest of things to check! So even though the router was syncing, there was no dial tone and thus this was causing the problem. I raised a fault with BT and they fixed it after an hour, and boom, we were up and running.

      I can't believe that! lol, i tried to look all clever to tier1 saying that i carried out all the normal checks! ROFL!

      What speeds are you getting now? With an attenuation and noise margin like yours you should be getting alot more than the 2meg or so it was first showing!?
