Just lost all wireless capabilities on my router

      Hi guys,

The wifes just phoned me and told me we have lost all wireless capabilites on our router.

We can't connect wirelessly at all yet we can connect to the laptop & xbox 360 via ethernet no problems at all. Bit of a pain as its been working perfectly for the last 4 months. My wifes checked the settings on the router and we get an error 300 code aswell as not being able to connect wirelessly.

Before I make the horrible call to sky just wondered if the error code is related to the wireless problem and if there might be something I can do / check at home first before phoning sky with the problem.

      Any help much appreciated

      thanks

      lee

its not a wireless issue, basically you router is not getting an IP address from Sky servers. You'll basically have to call Sky, and create a Tier 3 ticket. They will then refresh your line, and give you your connection back.

Probably better to do this after 11pm, as its near impossible to get through to tier 3 before then

very odd. cos normally, if your getting error 300 from the router test, its not picking up an IP address from your line, and is not dependent on the connection to the box i.e. ethernet or wireless.

are you sure its error 300?

it was very odd m8 but now Crisis over lol.

Just been home, rebooted the router, reset the laptop to find my router wirelessly, re input details into the 360 for the network adaptor and all is working perfectly as if nothing happened, and when I test sky on the router I don't get the error 300 anymore :-)

Thanks for your input m8, much appreciated

      lee :-)
