      Should I be getting quicker speeds?

      My line ALWAYS connects at 8190, yet I should be on the MAX package with "up to 16mb" is 8mb the best I can expect?

      With an attenuation of 42 dB you should, in theory, be able to go a bit higher with a decent line. However your stats show that you have a high error rate. If you haven't already tried it, check if your extension wiring is part of the problem by plugging your router into the test socket behind the faceplate. Browse the internet for an hour or two and post your stats again.

      My router is already plugged into the master socket (behind the faceplate, as the extensions introduce noise).
