What speed should i go for ?

I am at present with tiscali 2mb and have got my mac and sky code but am not sure what speed to get from sky.

went on http://www.dslzoneuk.net/maxspeed.php site and they say i can max speed of 6.2 - 6.9mb with my line.

      my line stats are

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2272 kbps 288 kbps
Line Attenuation 35.0 db 22.0 db
Noise Margin 25.0 db 30.0 db

Ok so will i be better off sticking to the 8mb sky offer of would i get above that if i went the the 16mb they got?

      Thanks

      dslzone for 35db attenuation gives:

      10 - 14 Mbps

Based on the attenuation you entered, we estimate that your line can support around 10 - 14 Mbps on ADSL2+.

Don't just consider your speed - also your usage - if you are likely to go over 40GB/month then go for max. if you use less than this and you are not particularly worried about upload speeds and want to save 5/month go for the MID package
