No broadband for 30 days is a joke.

It would take the Exchange Engineer no more than 25 minutes to complete the change over.

      Re: Moving Home

Well Im baffled and annoyed at Sky for a total balls up and if it was not for the fact that I will get 16MB for 10 I would of gone elsewhere by now.

I moved and after a few days waited for the tag to get dropped, this was fine. I then replaced the broadband order and waited a few days, well what a cockup.

Sky then told me that BT cancelled the order, why I dont know and now Sky says I have to wait up to 30 days for someone to removed the cancelled order from Sky's systems so that they can replace the same order with BT.

Now I for one cannot see why they needed to cancel considering Im on the same exchange and all BT needed to do was a few cable changes so my broadband was routed from my old line to my new line at the new address.

Well Im amazed these monkies have lasted this long.

Anyone here from Sky on this forum that can get my broadband pushed cos Im closed to going elsewhere and telling Sky to shove it.

      Regards.

      Re: Moving Home

If (and only if, don't jump to conclusions) its the notorious 'Pending Cancel' error, you're looking at a current timescale of 2-3 months to get the issue resolved... I'd contact them to clarify what the issue is (ask specifically if its a pending cancel)

Why that long and do these monkies know what they are doing.

Other ISP's just replace the order, why cant they just press delete and do it again.

      Re: Moving Home

It is indeed the "pending cancel" problem and still its not been resolved.

The only other option I have now is go with another provider, pay a connection fee and hope Sky dont hold me to the 12 month contract.

Anyone thats had this error resolved it yet?

      Regards.

As I said, they do get resolved (I've seen it done) but at the current timescale this is 2-3 months (or more). I'd contact cancellations about being held in contract when they cannot provide a service.

The other solution is to change telephone number...

      Re: Moving Home

But the pending cancellation is attached to the account not number, so changing it will not help.

      Re: Moving Home

Providing the new line is clear, you can place an additional broadband order on a seperate telephone number whilst the original number is in Pending Cancel. not all provisioning agents are aware of this however...

      Re: Moving Home

I have indeed called Sky provisioning and a nice chap did indeed state this is the case.

I have changed my number and it will be active within 24hrs.

Then its a new order again and fingers crossed.

      Regards.
