For people who will never get anywhere near 16mb

I wondered if you are in the same boat as me and ordered the Max package for 10 a month. I myself will not get over 3mb. Line is way too long. So my question.. is it possible to change down to the lower package? in the contract terms?

I'm getting speeds of only slightly higher than 2Mb and Customer Support confirmed that I could downgrade to BASE (2Mb with 2GB cap) without any problem.

Note: I'm still only day 5 into the 8 day cooling off period so I could cancel the whole lot as I'm not in a contract with them until day 9

Yes I think there are going to be a lot of people in your shoes but as SatDish has said he and I would guess a lot more people would be like him and want the upload speed and uncapped service and for 10 thats got to be a damn good deal

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

I'm in exactly the same boat where I've signed up to MAX but found out lastnight (after a 60 min chat with support) that I'll never get more than 4M downloads. I'm currently debating the merits of staying with the MAX package (still in my 8 day grace period so I'm hoping SKY will be happy to negotiate to get down to MID package). I guess the the uncapped service may come in handy but I didn't realize there is a restriction on the upload speeds across the different packages - is this true? If so what are the difference between the packages?

Thanks for that info Ian, think I'll see how stable my connection is over the next few days then decide on the package change (what's the point in having an uncapped servcie when you can't stay connected long enough to appreciate it!).
