      Unhappy outlook 2003 -test account settings all OK

      hi - just re-installed outlook 2003 - did "test account settings" all OK- but then tried to send or receive e-mails but no joy

      please help

      Hi have you got your servers set up as below
      incoming - pop.sky.com
      outgoing - smtp.sky.com

      And have you selected "My outgoing server(SMTP) requires authentication" under "More Settings", "Outgoing Server" ?

      and his log in details EXACTLY as per the ones supplied? Sounds stupid i know but just the same as asking is his outgoing/incoming servers done right.

      A friend of mine has had a similar problem. After 2 weeks of being messed around yesterday he was put through to email customer support. Guess what his account was not enabled and they did it there and then - cant get more stupid than that ?
