      Re: Connection Suddenly Dead?

Although you are showing few errors, this is over a short period, you really need to run for a few hours and preferably from the test socket.

In saying that, there is definitely a serious problem somewhere. If these are the stats taken from the test socket then the problem is going to be outside your control. One thing I notice is a very high power figure ( Pwr(dBm): 947.2 12.4), I don't really know if it is relevant but on most stats this is a fairly low figure, sometimes 0.00. You are also on Fast as opposed to Interleave, which will not help if you have errors.

      Re: Connection Suddenly Dead?

Kazz - I'm not too experienced when it comes to interpreting router stats - hopefully somebody else may be able to spot something when you post your new stats after a few hours connection. However, based on my limited knowledge, I'm not convinced your new stats are going to reveal anything different.

At least we now know you aren't suffering from the dreaded TRELLIS off syndrome, which has been identified as a possible cause of low connection speeds in a few cases.

I agree with Isitme that the power figure looks strangely high, but I don't know what that figure actually represents. It seems to me that either you have a horrendous noise level that is forcing your router to synch at a very low speed, or your noise level is actually OK, and the fault lies somewhere within your router. Personally I'm leaning towards your original diagnosis of faulty router. However (and this is probably clutching at straws) have you tried a quiet line test? Dial 17070 and select Option 2. Listen for any evidence of audible noise on your line.

      Re: Connection Suddenly Dead?

All I know is I can eliminate faulty wiring in my home, and computer related issue.

Reason is I have not only rewired the cable with new boxes, but I have tested the Master Socket (Test Socket) and nothing changes, I have also just formatted my PC and still have the issue.

I will post some stats shortly, 17070 &#2 reports everything ok.......weird. Sky told me to ring in 3 - 5 days if heard nothing, tomorrow is day 3 and I am ringing them, if they need to send me a new Router I know from experience this can take them upto a month due to their messing up.

Here are my stats - not connected to the main tester - this is just connected Wirelessly to the router which is not plugged into the main point.
I will do the full test later tonight - when I don't need the phones/sky

      Are these stats useful?
