This is ridiculous I thought Sky were on top of things but all they've given us is a rushed & buggy internet service, I knew I rushed in to fast.

Have they even given a statement about the problems or are they passing the blame around.

Has someone made a list of all the main problems with SkyBB yet:

      Portal is rubish
Their DNS server is mucked up (People can't access some websites)
My sync speed is stuck at 7645 when I was told it would be higher (have they cappped my a$$)

It's a shame as I had a fun chatting to the lovely scottish lady when I ordered SkyBB I don't want to start yelling that this don't work and that don't work..

      Come on SKY sort it.....

I suggest you make restitution to your feline friend forthwith.
You can start by getting on all fours, and giving her/him a nice cuddle.
and treat her/him to a big fat juicy fillet of steak (uncooked).

If this is not done within the next 24 hours,
I shall inform Sniffer of the yard, a ferocious Police Dog, to nip you in the A*se.

keithhill post a log from your router if it shows anything useful.

are your disconnection problems, the router loosing sync.

are you only using a wireless connection, try with a wire.

      Keith's problems

I have been following Keith's problems on Digispy before he became a banned user for his abusive postings.

Before his SKYBB Keith was on dial up.... I totally agree that the access to the sky portal appear to be Sky's problem and that they haven't set his account up properly, but as for the disconnections...... I'm not sure.

How far is Keith from his exchange,
Does he have a dodgy BT phone line (whilst it is Sky's equipment in the exchange, it is still BT's copper wire going from the exchange to his house, so could it be BTs fault)
Does he have dodgy internal wiring/exentsions (again not Sky's fault and not BTs fault, but his own)
Is his PC set up correctly... maybe the network card is faulty or there is some other software that is conflicting to cause the dropouts.

My gut feeling is that it is a problem with BTs copper wire and/or his own internal cabling as opposed to any problem actually with Sky (based on his postings over at Digispy).

It's very difficult to help out for problems such as this and you need to eliminate each bit at a time.

Try unplugging all other phone equipment and plug the router into the microfilter directly into the master BT socket.

Try borrowing somone else PC/Laptop that is known to work fine and provided a stable broadband connection (as keith used to be on dial up, is his pc equipment up to the job).

Run a fault checker using the BT site to see if that picks up anything on his line (not the best test in the world as I had major noise on my line and it didn't pick this up).

Check to see if any of your close neighbours have a) ADSL with no problems and b)SkyBB.

I really appreciate how frustraing these problems can be, but you need to be patient and discount each potential reason before pointing the finger.
