Just for your reference you do get to keep your BT email address after you leave them, I did.

Can't comment on the connection speeds for Max, but once the exchange is full for Max, you will be offered Mid or Base and if they are full, Connect at 17.

if you got speeds of 14MB on BE there should be no reason why you wont on sky i would have thought it all depends on how far your away from the exchange among other things

      Re: Thinking of returning

The estimate of 4Mb that you are getting is probably of MaxDSL or what BT use,
I dont think your exchange is full - I suggest taking this up with Sky, Call them, That way you can get a definite answer and wether they will take you up or not, (Previous History - Payment Problem).

      Re: Thinking of returning

Unless you have moved house or your line has improved dramatically, I doubt if you will see a 50% plus increase in your speed over your previous with Sky. What actual download speed are you showing in tests with BE on speedtest .net?

I don't know where they are getting 4mb, even on ADSLMax, your Attn of 36.5 suggests something around 7mb. Maybe they are just playing extra safe
