Moving home - what about broadband

      HI
We are moving in approx 3 weeks. I have phoned Sky and told them and they just told me to take the digibox with me to the new house. What happens about broadband? I asked the customer services if they need the telephone number of the new house to enable the line for BB and they kept saying no. I am not sure they knew what I was talking about to be honest. Am I right that the line will have to be enabled for BB? What happens if the current occupier already has BB with another ISP?

      Thanks

Not much good without a dish, is it?

This one of the biggest difficulties with Sky, one hand does not seem to know, or care, what the other hand is doing. With the amount of customers they have, you would think they would have a laid down procedure for this. You could try using the online form here Sky.com - Customer Support>Contact Us
Scroll down to the Moving House link.

What you could also do, is cease your contract and sign up as a new user with all the perks it carries (+30 for you and a friend)

there is a moving home department for Sky BB as yes, we will need your new phone number as it's a different physical line!! even if you're taking your number with you you'll still need to let us know so we can move the service to the new line and cancel it off the old one
