Did your exchange get the LLU or is it still non-LLU'ed?

Sort of frustrating for me, mine has gone back to 17 now, but i don't fancy paying 17 after 6months when i was promised LLU before then
      complain, they'll credit it.
It doesn't get better than this band lol

      Re: 5 Connect

IM wondering the same, im hopefully moving from my parents house to a place of my own and i want to get sky tv and Sky BB. But where i will be hopefully movng to is a different exchange. At home now im currently paying 5 per month for the sky connect.

The new exchange which i will hopefully be using says LLU - Not yet available( The Broadband Resource) if it says that can i still get the connect for 5 per month? Or will i have to pay the price of 17.

Is there any way where i can find out when this exchange will be made LLU by sky. I know in the telford and wrekin area some have already been made LLU with sky but not the one i might use.

      Hope someone can help.

      Many thanks

Put your new number, or any number on the exchange, into Sky Checker . This should tell you what is being offered at the moment. You should get permission to use someone else's number of course

      Re: 5 Connect

I know that the "official" reason for Sky to offer a 5 connect service in certain locations is because the unbundling of the exchange is imminent.
However, is there any correlation between The Sky offer and an active Virgin Media marketing campaign in the area?
      Just a thought you understand.

I don't think so, Virgin have no service in my area and the reduced offer was available. I don't think it is now, as the exchange is unbundled. Friends of mine have been offered Base, Mid and Max only. It seems once an exchange is enabled for Sky the offer ceases, if there are no slots available you are only offered Connect at 17.

      Re: 5 Connect

Just received this response to an email I sent yesterday.

      Thank you for your email.
Your exchange is due for upgrade in the next couple of months.
If for any reason the exchange is not upgraded within the offer period then the offer would be extended until the upgrade took place.
You will be automatically upgraded to the Mid package when it becomes available and have 30 days grace where you can choose Base or Max.

Guess that answers any questions I may have had about the Connect offer.

      Re: 5 Connect

That is interesting you recieved that as my 5 Connect offer is due to expire on July 15th and for this month they were going to charge me 5.40 for it because that date and my date when this money is taken is only a day or two between them. I mailed them asking them why it was 5.40 and recieved a 5.00 credit but I have a feeling my price will revert back to 17 come next month. I wonder how they will letter you know that the 5 offer is extended, by letter I presume ?? Does anyone out there know ?
