      Main thing is, id rather pay 20 to an Entanet reseller and get a non-throttled connection if i know i won't get on LLU.

      Connect is fine for 5 yes, but for 17 i don't know.

      sorry i just see because its throttled i didnt read

      i allways got fast speeds on p2p downloads and could never understand that its being throttled my problem was it was never up lol

      yes i have my MAC here - however they will probably charge me the rest of the contract 60 which is fair enough

      could be worse they could be charging me BT's activation fee ontop..

      Nobody actually knows that and in my case we will see what happens at the end of July.

      Just looked at the new mysky billing and its added "..for 6 months" to my Connect discount. Strange that this was not mentioned when I took it out or on any paper bill sent since I took Connect in Jan 07.

      Just waiting till 730am to call Sky CS.

      Is says the same on mine but I knew this was the case when I took this offer up earlier in the year. If they are going to make people pay 17 again after the six months are up (and we don't know if that is the case) then they have to contact you to let you know the price you are paying is going up, like they do with the TV packages when they go up in price each year in that a letter is usually sent out with the Sky magazine. They can't just alter your price to 17 without informing you first.

      Called Sky Broadband to ask about the newly appearing 5 connect for 6 month on my online bill.
      Was informed by a nice woman Sharon if the mid/max packages are not available in my area at the time the 5 offer will be extended, but a letter will be sent to offer me this.

      true well i have a backup plan for a UK based isp which large peak and offpeak limits and UK support if i dont get on LLU

      your right not paying 17 for this with 40GB cap and throttling

      I have had the 5/ month offer for 4 weeks.
      Before I signed up I specifically asked the question:-
      "What happens after 6 months if my exchange is not unbundled?"
      The answer I got was that the offer was only applicable to exchanges that are scheduled to be unbundled within 6 months and if if the exchange was not unbundled then the offer would be extended for a further 6 months.
      Apparently, Sky do not offer any concessionary prices for longer than 6 months.

      I have had the 5 Connect offer since the middle of February and, despite my Exchange being LLU enabled at the end of March, the have not yet moved me over onto LLU (as it requires lots of planning in case of problems, letters to be written to the people involved, etc. etc.). There are quite a few people in a similar situation around the country.

      I expect that they WILL have me on LLU before the 6-months run out. But, if not, I would CERTAINLY expect the offer to be extended!
