Anyone sold MAX under these circumstances should have the right to have their contract downgraded, with no quibbling.
totally agree, and the fact don't allow you to downgrade (yet you can upgrade whenever you want) also makes us look very bad in the public eye - definately one thing I'd change if I could...

      Exclamation Re: speed

Sky Netgear DG834GT utility version 0.4

Try using the mognuts utillty ( link above ) to set your mode to adsl2+ and not adsl2 it may not make much difference but it might, what you are looking for are these bits of your stats

      Down Up
      SNR (dB): 8.4 9.5
      Attn(dB): 52.5 32.7
      Pwr(dBm): 896.0 12.4
      Max(Kbps): 2388 772
      Rate (Kbps): 2365 671

The higher the max rate ( the fastest you can ever get on sky ) and the rate ( actual connection speed to sky ) is what you need to look at.

If setting your mode adsl2+ using mognuts utillty does not help your speeds or does not connect then try setting it to g.dmt from which i would assume you will connect faster than 2365kbps.

Let us know how you get on by posting stats with adsl2+ and g.dmt modes.
