      Re: Sky Down Again

I think I know why I was down over the bank holiday weekend. I just checked The Broadband Resource and Sky has unbundled my local loop. That was certainly not the case when I checked in the middle of last week.

Hooray!!. Thank you Sky. But I sure wish you had put something up on the website to let people know so as to save a lot of aggro. I might upgrade my account. We'll see how I do with Connect first but I love the idea of getting a much faster connection.

I've been a premium Sky TV subscriber for about 17 years and I have always been satisfied with the service. It just gets better every year. I love the way they never sit on their laurels but keep innovating all the time.

I doubt if your exchanged being enabled has anything to do with Connect users loosing there connection. Even on your exchange it is very unlikely that would be the case, unless of course, some big footed Sky Tech tripped over a cable and brought everybody down

I think you will find that is not the case. Like you I also had connection issues over the weekend but my exchange has not been unbundled.

      Re: Sky Down Again

I am quite happy because for the first time in quite a while my evening speeds were the same as my daytime ones as I was hitting just under 5MB last night, which is the correct speed for my line. Lets hope this continues now...

Quite a few of us are on the 5 deal and to be honest, it is very good value at that.

      Re: Sky Down Again

It could be worse you know. I just read in the Telegraph today that millions of emails of all Tiscali Broadband customers have vanished into a black hole. I cannot provide a link as it is not in the website, only in the actual newspaper itself. It seems that it began a week ago on May 24 and many customers are unaware of the problem because the sytem has not been generating error messages.

Yes, a rather sad state of affairs for those affected!
