      Thumbs up Sky Broadband, Anticipated !!

      Must admit, I'm looking forward to Skys Broadband Service. I currently pay Pipex 33.99pm for a 2MB (Uncapped/FUP) connection, so to switch to Sky, 8MB Mid Package for a Fiver a month, or the 16MB (ADSL2?) Service for a tenner, will save me a small fortune and a faster connection to boot!

      I doubt my local exchange will be enabled anytime soon and I've yet to hear back from Sky as I registered the day the service was announced (apart from the 'Thanks for Registering' EMail).

      What's the 'Sky Connect' service .. as even paying for that will save me money until the other packages are available to me!

      the Sky Connect is for people who want to move to sky but is not enabled yet at there exchange, i believe it is on what BT call the MAX service where you can get up to 8Mb download speed depending on how far from the exchange you are.

      Thanks for the replies, Nice little site you've got here and should really take off in the next few months and has got potential to be a nice little community, which I hope to be a part of

      Funnily enough, I have (in the last ten minutes) received my 'Sky Broadband is Coming' EMail, which confirms that;

      Thank you for registering your interest in Sky Broadband. We are currently rolling out our state-of-the art network across the country, but your area won't become live for the next few months, so you won't be able to get the Base, Mid and Max products until this time.

      In the meantime, you can still get Sky Broadband Connect which is up to 8Mb with a huge 40Gb monthly usage allowance and is only 17 per month, we'll let you know when it's ready for you to buy.
      So whilst I won't get the cheaper package just yet as my exchange isn't likely to be upgraded for a few months yet, I can still cut my broadband bill in half by taking up their 'Connect' service in the meantime when that's ready

      Yep tis a good site, loads of potential and loads of things we wanna achieve. The way we want to achieve this, is with the help of everybody involved. The more people put in the more others will get out of it.
