      http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-broadband-feedback/

might be best to start reading a few threads there sky happiness/unhappiness and make your own mind up

what i will say is if you do go over to sky if everything goes fine nd you dont have to contact the tech lines at anytime its great

if you have to constantly ring sky broadband tech or CS its hell

and a last note this forum helps allways and is very usefull

Well I am very happy no problems here but remember most people only come to a forum like this when they have problems, so don't be put off by all the problems posted on here. I am only here because I did have problems when I first joined Sky with disconnections but that has been sorted out ages ago.

Re: Thinking of moving to SKY Broadband

Since moving to sky BB in Jan, I have nothing but praise. I have only had to contact customer services once and they were efficient and helpful. My previous provider was Bulldog, now taken over by Pipex. It was an altogether awful experience. I had brief line drops on a daily basis - not just once, but often several times a day. CS was ignorant and thoroughly unpleasant with it - never any help whatsoever.

Re: Thinking of moving to SKY Broadband

      Go for it.

I also moved from Pipex last month and Sky has been excellent, all done on time as scheduled and I now get speeds of 7000kbps up from 1800kbps and all for 5pcm rather than 23.44pcm.

Like Koala5 says you'll get an unbalanced opinion coming to these forums as they will always attract users who are having issues - one of the reasons I held off migrating until now, but very happy now I've done it and now that Sky are accepting MAC Codes you shouldn't be offline for more than a few hours.

I've not had to deal with SKY CS which seems cause the most amount of grief amongst users, but for a 200pa saving I'll take my chances especially against Pipex as their CS was pretty poor even when you could get through to them.

I also had problems at first, but they were down to traffic shaping, I was not told about this when joining so attributed other problems to it. I'm now on max and very happy apart from the ping issue. Like the others have said there are problems with sky but I think they are beginning to resolve them and this site will provide every answer you will need.
i think sky are secretly over the moon that skyuser exists

If you are going on the Connect package you will loose your access for a week or so.
