Sky forcing us to use proxy?

I've only had Sky broadband for less than a month but today I've noticed something I'm not too happy about.

While surfing on Project W I clicked on a topic and the page that loaded had a proxy error. HMM, I didn't know Sky proxied things, and I NEVER remember agreeing to it, especially when it seems to have suspicious 'errors' on a site that maybe they don't like. THIS IS NOT COMMUNIST CHINA. Anyone else had experiences of this proxy causing 'errors' when you're trying to access some kind of shady website? I haven't told my computer to connect through any proxy servers but maybe this will be the way to go to bypass Sky's censoring, if that's what it is.

      Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /viewtopic.php.

Reason: Error reading from remote server
That definitely looks like there's a proxy in between W's server and my connection.

Discovering that could have been caused by a bug in W's code but I'm not happy about being proxied.

do you mean your using sky's ip and its not letting you view a page (not sure what page you mean so cant test)

or do you mean your using a proxy server (not sky) to try and access the same page im a bit confused

      ps

Re: Sky forcing us to use proxy?

This is probably a proxy at the remote site, sometimes used for load balancing and nothing to do with Sky.
