      Good News so far

Hi All good news is I got my router today and am told my line will go live on Monday 11.11.06 I have set up the router for desktop (win98SE) and laptop (XP) PC but just have a few questions. I can access the router from laptop and desktop but the desk top PC will not run the software. The disk states min speck of PC must have O/S of win 2000 or above so I assume it's just a software thing. What is the tick for on the front of the router the book dosn't mention what it's for?. Will I need the login and password if I dont use the sky software?.

The netgear manual says the tick it for test. http://kbserver.netgear.com/pdf/dg834gt_manual.pdf

If the tick stays on then there is a problem.
