      1. Utility installed on PC, PC off, I don't think there is any way the router will reboot.

On dialup, just off to see some paint dry for a bit of excitement.

      Re: Help With Frequent Disconnection

If you have the router plugged into the test socket you have a real problem with your phone line between you and the exchange as you have many errors showing.

Your SNR at 5.5db is below the 6db threshold for a stable connection too.

Do you do that by 'pin to start menu' ????

You can do it by copying it to C: Documents & Settings > Your Username> Start Menu > Programs > Start Up

Copy it to the start up folder and you are done.

Go to Start, Programs>Startup and open folder. Right click on the Bounce icon on the desktop. drag it to the Startup folder, drop it and select 'Create Shortcut Here'

Well I transferred it to Start Up, I'll see if it works next time I fire up the laptop.

      Re: Help With Frequent Disconnection

Back to Bav's problem, I don't know what others think, but you are syncing at full speed for your connection. Capping it down a bit would probably reduce the errors, but it will obviously reduce your download speed. I think this would be better than the service you have at the moment. As you are on Connect this would have to be done by BT, but through Sky. BT will not entertain you and will refer you back to your ISP. I don't know if any of the Sky bods are following this, if they are maybe they can advise you about the best way to get capped. (unless your name is Beckham, then Steve McLaren will do it)

      Re: Help With Frequent Disconnection

Is this a new problem or will the Connect service having problems over the weekend as reported in other threads be something to do with it ???.

The errors are still high, even in test socket.

Would using the Mognut utility again to raise the SNR stop the drop outs ???
