Have you taken the stats running the router for an hour or so plugged into the test, after rebooting it?? Its just that rebooting it is the only way previous logged errors will be cleared, so if you reboot whilst plugged into the test socket thats will show for definate whether it is the line or not. But need to run in test socket for a couple of hour to build up a new set of stats.

      Re: Help With Frequent Disconnection

i'll connect to the test socket tonight, do a re-boot of the router and report in the morning.

that way we'll have a complete set of new results.

do you guys want me to increse the snr using mognuts utility after i've re-booted it?

      Re: Help With Frequent Disconnection

I don't think you should use the utility as it is giving an artificial result. The only problem with running overnight is that if the router is not working, ie downloading or browsing, you are not going to get a true reflection on how it is running. I don't know if anyone else has anything to suggest in this respect?

The results of your last test were not very encouraging, you should do a long test plugged into the test socket as suggested by Koala, you can still leave a phone plugged into the filter, so you are not cut completely off from the world. Obviously, the phones on your extensions and Sky digibox will not be connected. Make sure you are starting with a clean slate by rebooting or powering down the router, or the errors you have will be carried over.

      Re: Help With Frequent Disconnection

      afternoon folks,

just started to use mosseywell bounce utility but i've got a couple of questions:

      1. my laptop is running wirelessly so if i turn my laptop off, will it still reboot the router even though the router is on and laptop is off.

      2. is there anyway of getting it startup when windows loads?

      thanks
