New to SKY ACTIVATION 29TH MAY

Hiya sorry if this is the wrong place for this.

I have signed upto sky max and the router is coming through tomorrow, theres been a delay, could it be the new router?

well my line is to be activated on the 29th next tuesday. Its been since last august since i have been trying to get sky.

So i went to the smaknows site and enetered my details to find out what my line would actually get

it stated that my line supported 6mb-8mb and that i was approximately 1.16km from my exchange

      is that any good ?

I will be hoping to get around 8mb if not higher, I hope i can get help here to get the best possible service thanx

      Welcome hero.

See my links below. The information posted by
      me and others might help.
I am not as near to my exchange as you but
do get the speeds you are looking for.
Originally it was faster but I have a "noisy" line

reliability is more important than speed.

I've been with Sky BB 8 months. No regrets.

      My Max. Faster, Cheaper, Better.

Yup it happened to me, phoned them up in the evening and both router and activation letter turned up two days later.

Re: New to SKY ACTIVATION 29TH MAY

well I rang them this morning and the order is complete whihc means I am connected.

So Now I am in abit of bother, Last year in august when sky first came out I ordered the broadband and i got the router since I didnt get connected and they let me keep the router, I flashed it so I could use it with another ISP,

So now my new router is coming in the next few days, Can i connect the flashed router, or is that risky business ?

when you get your new router through look on this forum for mossywell bounce sky router and extract your sky pass/username and put it in your old router

only thing is you wont be covered by sky or will you maybe you will as it was an old sky router
