      Download speed

I have recenlty upgraded from Broadband Mid to Broadband Max (sky said that it would take upto 24hrs)

after about 30mins i just check to see if they had done it yet.

The downstream speed changed from 8096mbps to 11600's so i rebooted the modem/router to see if it will change to 15500 mbps as per what sky said that it would go up to but it went down abit to 11266mbps.

i was just wondering will it get to the speed indicated by sky if i leave it for 24hrs or will it say at this speed.

Things you should know: i live less than a mile away from the exchange server.

I am running the broadband connection through a phone extension to take the signal upstairs where the router is.

the extention is going to be giving you grief as your noise margin is low - keep the bb box downstairs in ur master socket and use longer ethernet cables/wireless to get the best stable speed

THIS graph suggests that you are getting about average for your Line Attenuation. Your attenuation also suggests that you are quite a bit more than a mile from the exchange.
